There’s nothing in the world like visiting a blog and being immediately captivated by it. That’s the feeling many of us experienced when we were introduced to CurlBLOG this week. Even more engaging, is the lovely welcome you receive, stating,“WELCOME, This is the curlBOX BLOG … A curly hair experience with style.” CurlBLOG is the blog of the ever so popular curlBOX, which, “is an affordable, exclusive and effortless way to explore new hair products. You can discover hand-selected curly hair products delivered to your doorstep every month.” 

While there are many reasons that we love the curlBLOG (as if there’s a reason not to), we’ve taken on the task of singling out five reasons why we love (and are secretly addicted to) the curlBLOG.

# 1: Product Reviews

We have to admit that the product reviews are absolutely amazing. In one of Myleik’s posts she shares how we are very hesitant to order natural hair care products online, especially when they are not products that can be found in your local store. It’s hard to trust a new product, when you haven’t had a chance to sample it for yourself. Thanks to the curlBLOG, we don’t have to choose whether or not we’re willing to make our hair apart of an experiment, we can pretty much guarantee that the products are going to meet our needs.

 #2: CurlBOX

There would be no curlBLOG, without curlBOX, so automatically we have to show love to it. In case you are unfamiliar with curlBOX, as stated earlier, it is the awesomeness that brings natural hair products to your doorstep on a monthly basis. The box is curated personally by founder, Myleik, and seldom disappoints.

 #3:  Guest Blogger Posts

Who doesn’t love a good guest post? It’s okay, it doesn’t mean that we don’t adore the ladies behind our favorite blogs, we just enjoy the spice that  guest bloggers bring to the blog. So far this week, there have been two great guest posts on CurlBLOG.  Wes of HoneyBrownSugar.com did a post Monday called 5 Ways You Can Avoid FRIZZ (In Humid Weather!) , which we highly recommend reading due to the present temperatures. Just yesterday, Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista  wrote a fun post entitled 5 Reasons Why I Cannot Wait For Fall.

#4: Mane Events

All of us like to get dressed and go out, but before we can do that we have to find a place to go. The Mane Events posts on curlBLOG feature events that give us a reason to get dressed and go out but that will also help us gain more information about hair care. There are some events that are simply for our enjoyment, such as the most recent one posted, Naturals In The Sun One Year Anniversary Meet Up!

 #5: Myleik

Myleik Teele is the brains and beauty behind both curlBOX and curlBLOG. CurlBOX is the end result of her vision to help natural hair care lovers explore helpful products, without being afraid of the results. Natural hair lovers everywhere appreciate Myleik, and here at Style Bloggers of  Color, we do too. (She spoke at our inaugural conference!)
