Hello Style Bloggers!

In case you missed it, on Thursday, we kicked off our Smart Style initiative with our very first SBOC Smart Style chat on Twitter, using the hashtag #SBOCsmartstyle.  Our Smart Style initiative was created to help us all with transitions as we approach this exciting season of fall fashion. For our first chat we talked about day to night looks; which pieces we shed, which pieces we switch and what item we cling to when trying to achieve a smooth day to night transition. Ladies shared their favorite go to items, some of which were: going from a nude lip to a bold lip, ballet flats or pumps to a platform heel, their favorite piece of statement jewelry or a fabulous clutch.

Dresses were also a favorite during the #SBOCsmartstyle chat. Try a shift dress like this, worn by Ariana Pierce, CEO of SuperStar Nail Lacquer. via Whybluematters.blogspot.com

“ A change of lipstick can also transition you from day to night. #SBOCsmartstyle” - @HauteAfricana

“For me, it’s blazers and skinny jeans! I feel like these 2 staples can be dressed up & down for any occasion #SBOCsmartstyle.”- @justsitpretty

“Shoes are definitely an easy way to transition from day to night, maybe a switch for 4” to 6”? :-) #SBOCsmartstyle ” – @ConsiderMeLuvly

“ Dresses! A quick change from a ballet flat to a wedge/heel could easily take your outfit from day-to-night! #SBOCsmartstyle” – @icedtee_

“I generally switch from flats to a heel and from a tote to a clutch. #SBOCsmartstyle” - @LuxeOfLife

Missed the first Smart Style chat? No worries! Join us for the next one, Thursday August 16, 2012 at 4PM. All you have to do is follow us at @BlogColorfully, and use the hashtag #SBOCsmartstyle.  See you next Thursday!
